“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.” Albert Einstein
In my classroom, my students will understand that mistakes are just stepping stones to learning. We will continually put forth effort and maintain high expectations of ourselves and each other. Students will also be taught to respect and empathize with others in a supportive and caring environment.
Originally from Oklahoma, I received my undergraduate from Oklahoma State and my Master of Arts in Teaching from Dickinson State. Though I have a business major, I have always had a love for mathematics. Previously, I spent 16 years working remotely for a large insurance underwriting firm, where I learned the power of business and the necessity of math. This was followed by time spent farming and ranching with my husband. My hobbies include spending time with my husband and daughter, hiking, golfing, reading, and coaching elementay basketball.
“The goal of education is to help students realize they can think, learn, act and change things. We must focus on producing not only good learners but good people.” Alfie Kohn, 1991
